Cometic uses stainless steel for increased strength, its ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. Yes, it’s organic cotton! After buying two other “100 % organic cotton” duvet covers on Amazon that turned out to be polyester/blends, I was happy to find an honest company and product. The duvet cover washes well, had no detectable odor out of the package, and is a good weight. I love the hidden zipper closure and find that it gets softer with use. I hope the zipper stays intact with prolonged use and gentle wash cycle. Note that I almost bought this in white but realized it’s a different material (bamboo) based on the product description. If you are looking at different colors, check the material carefully before buying.
